Job Summary
VPG Real Estate is seeking a Make-Ready Technician, a pivotal role in our operations, ensuring that residential units are prepared for new tenants. This position involves a variety of maintenance tasks, repairs, and improvements to ensure that properties meet high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to excellence in facilities maintenance.

Duties
  • Conduct thorough inspections of residential units to identify necessary repairs and improvements.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including electrical work, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Fabricate and install components as needed to enhance unit functionality and aesthetics.
  • Execute residential painting projects to refresh interiors and exteriors.
  • Read and interpret schematics for electrical systems and logic controllers to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Supervise and lead small teams during make-ready projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, always adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with property management to prioritize tasks based on tenant turnover schedules.
Skills
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, including reading schematics and troubleshooting logic controllers.
  • Experience in residential painting techniques and materials.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
