VPG Construction is seeking a Sr. Construction Project Manager to join our team. The candidate must fit well within the company’s core values:

Responsibilities
  • Review and report issues timely if/when they arise and review potential impact
  • Frequent/daily visits to the project job site
  • Be able to manage and oversee the operations department with Project engineers, Superintendents, and Project Managers. 
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Architects, Subcontractors, Vendors, etc., to meet the demands of the project
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Determine required resources (workforce, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Lead the Project Team through collaboration and leadership skills
  • Hire Subcontractors/Vendors and efficiently allocate responsibilities
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards
  • Monthly requisition processing
  • Able to lead Owner, Architect and Contractor Meetings
  • Able to manage multiple projects at a time. 
Skills
  • Critical thinking and decision making
  • Proven experience as a Senior Construction Project Manager
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Procore.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Project is preferred
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A collaborator with diplomatic leadership abilities
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
  • OSHA Certification
Education:
  • Bachelor's (Required)
Experience:
  • Commercial Construction: 10 years (Required)
  • Project Management: 10 years (Required)
License/Certification:

  • In person

Requirements

  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% locally.
  • Ability to respond to after-hour emergency calls.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.
