Assistant Project Manager
Major Responsibilities include:
- Management of multiple projects throughout the construction phase to maximize construction quality, budget adherence, and completion timelines.
- Monitor and maintain project schedules within budget guidelines and update project plans as needed.
- Responsible for procuring, generating, tracking, and reviewing all project-related submittal data as required or instructed by the Project Manager.
- Prepare and update project status reports, process purchase orders and invoices, update tracking reports, and maintain files for due diligence and financials
- Ensure accurate approvals of accounts payables and receivables.
- Maintain safe working environments, monitor the safety process of contractors, and comply with regulations.
- Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Candidate must have at least five years’ experience as an Assistant Project Manager for a General Contractor or the sub-trade industry.
- Candidate must have or pursue a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction degree.
- Applicants must be able to read blueprints and have an understanding of project cost analysis
- Ability to interact with Andrew General Contractor team members, outside contractors and subcontractors, city officials and inspectors, lenders, and owners.
- The ability to coordinate multiple projects is mandatory.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent deadlines are necessary.
- Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills required.
